Roni Size – Dayz / Box Of Tricks

Dayz is tip top, with its monster bassline that drags itself along making it sound like it speeds up as it moves, being layered after a while by even more wobbles and stabs, creating a huge weight of bass. The beats are very tight, complementing the low end perfectly. A proper roller, that will light up your party.

Dayz is superb Roni at his possibly his best tune in IMHO and he has released some bangers. That rolling, driving bassline is something else. Big!!

I'm very surprised I'm writing the only review about this record on Discogs currently, this production is very important and intelligent.
Dayz is very unique with the xylophone or bells melody (if you've heard it you know what I'm talking about) that makes the build ups and breakdowns even more furious due to the contrast of the two. Baseline is heavy and some proper Roni Size heat.
On the flip is a slammer. Jungle hardcore at its prime with Box of Tricks.
