Reviews
- THE MIGHTY QUINN is highlighted by "Ha Ha Said The Clown", "Semi-Detatched Suburban Mr. James" and the title track. "Big Betty" harkens back to their early R&B oriented sound, but the other ten songs are in more of a mild paisley/psychedelic vein. This is the 1968 US pressing, and it sounds okay, if not great. Two of the tracks are in fake stereo. It's a bit lacking in the low end, and the soundstage is rather narrow. But the music is great, I prefer the 'chapter two' lineup of Manfred Mann to any of their other incarnations. Recommended if you like The Small Faces or The Zombies.
