The Clivilles & Cole mixes are out of this World. Especially the Club Edit and Vocal Club Mix.

Huge track back in its day, The Clivillés & Cole mixes are the ones to go for either the "Vocal Club Mix" or "Club a Dub Mix", big Hacienda track as it was in most of the clubs at the time. Its the bassline & vocals that do it for me, plus a lot of happy memories.

Surprised that the comments don't make a connection to https://www.discogs.com/Liz-Torres-Featuring-Edward-Crosby-Cant-Get-Enough/release/62217 as the Clivillés and Cole version owes an awful lot to it. Unless that's just so well known it isn't worth mentioning!

Decent bootleg if it is, volume is loud and clear the only issue i could fine is its slightly off center on the b-side - more noticeable on Don't You Wanna Be Mine (The Clivillés And Cole House Dub)

Maybe it's too obvious to mention, but Clivilles and Cole opted to lift the bassline and melody (with minor alterations) from Gwen Guthrie's "Ain't Nothing Going On But The Rent". It works pretty well and is a lot better than the totally unremarkable LP version. I love those phased drum rolls.

Huge tune with its instantly recognizable bassline when it drops - sending the dance floor into a frenzy, the track builds with its percussion, drum loops and rolls, then comes the vocal, strings and the synth lifting the track even further. You can take your pick on the mixes with the more commercial sounding vocal mixes, or the dub mixes with their more minimal feel, all are strong with the dub mixes. Track had big commercial success too.

I've always wondered about this record as i own both copy's the promo and the more commercially available version why the commercial copy goes for more than the promo copy as when you look back on the classic old skool house records the white label or promo is much rarer and dearer in price than the more commercially available copy is this so because they made more copy's of the commercial copy than they did of the promo so lesser copy's of the promo got sent out before the actually release.

This is another over priced record on the hard to find website now selling for £69.99 even tho it is a ture old skool house classic.
But are they selling a real copy or one of them very good fakes that are kicking about and wot we have talked abot on here.
No its a repress ive just looked again on their website cat number DL01 so £69.99 for a repress is a repress realy woth that much !

The recent bootlegs have the same catalogue number as the original as they are proper fakes. From looking at the label you can tell they've been scanned into a computer and re-printed as the quality is inferior. Same goes for the sleeve, it's been scanned in and some of the edges don't match up properly. The vinyl is quite thick and heavier than an original, and the sound quality is, to put it mildly, proper shite.

And i hasten to add COPY not booty as some of the tracks are actually off of the original stampers so they are exactly the same as the orginals ,

looking at the Denise Lopez & Ce Ce Rogers records the colours or print havent been lined up properly so it gives it a kinda trippy feel if you know when youve seen a picture in the newspaper that hasnt printed right ,

It is all so said their are 100% copys of k l f's Last train to trancentral remix ,

Until recently, it took a lot of money to obtain a copyof this in decent condition but someone has gone and done a re-press. For those wanting to ensure they get an original if you are looking to buy, represses have a cat # DL-001 on the run-out groove, whereas the original has 75021 7043 1 followed by "Herbie Jnr" and a small face drawn in. The sleeve also shows a few minor differences, such as depth of colour in places, and size of spine font.

It has to be said that this is up there with the likes of Ce Ce Rogers' "Someday" as one of those masterpieces. I played it out recently and the reaction was amazing. An absolute stunner.
