- Edited 3 months agoDefinitely one of the classic albums from the golden age of mid-90s Fax. Warm, soothing, swirling ambient.
Unlike another reviewer, I think it's fine to not reissue this on vinyl. It's from the peak of the CD era and was designed with that format in mind - no noise, no distractions. Unfortunately this CD is pretty expensive now. - Edited 3 years agoHopefully someone will give this timeless music a vinyl pressing. Simply unbelievably good.
- quite possibly the finest album ever made.
a peerless masterpiece of the ambient genre, beamed from a different space and time. - Edited 4 years agoBIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ - Это достойная музыка !! Альбом очень хороший слушается легко и в нем есть красивые мелодии ! Душевность а так же полет фантазии !!!
- It is very hard for me to begin reviewing music that became so intensely personal to me. No one is like Tetsu. His sound is more than music. It is static, yet constantly moving, everything folds and unfolds, it sounds like a cosmic natural pattern. Tetsus music goes far beyond anything experimental, it is music with a strong background in personal discussion. It means more than a lot to me, and without exaggurating, "World Receiver" and "Ambient Otaku" changed the way I look at my problems. It is opium for your ears and heroin for your heart.
- Edited 6 years agoA truly marvellous sonic journey; warm, melodic soulful ambience. At times I detect similarities to Entropica's Sonic Bloom LP. Quiet tinkles, gentle, ebbing arpeggios, and a distinct feeling of floating through vibrant worlds. This is where the finest ambient music can achieve wonderful things, along with being a great cure for anxiety and stress! I thoroughly enjoy this album, it's definitely up there with Sun Electric's truly epic Live 94 record as classic 90s ambient music.
- One of the strongest FAX releases ever, and it's a classic of ambient style. Beautiful music, always made me cry. It's so relaxing ,calm, deep. Mr. Tetsu Inoue wherever you are, thank you for this. This music is a journey to heaven.
