Nice trip down memory lane for those that were there at basics! Not worth a huge chunk of cash though. Best mix is Lawson- Edited 4 years ago

top notch DJing from all but worth alone just for the Weatherall interstellar bridge >o< referencing Back To Basics: Cut The Crap (CD, Mixed, CD, Mixed, CD, Mixed, Box Set, , Round Tin Metal Case) B2B CD1
This is a very varied and solid mix compilation.
The Derrick Carter mix rocks and still stands up today: Solid, jacking, chicago style house and I much prefer Carter when he expresses himself and is more varied like this. It has funk, soul, disco, hard, tech, jacking and has personality.
Andrew Wetherall mix is NOT a club mix. On the whole it is a very laidback, chilled, downtempo mix and grows on you with repeat listens.
Ralph Lawson mix is tried and tested Basics house classics mix and you can really hear his history and the beginnings of his 20:20 vision label and productions.
This is a compilation I always refer back to and listen at least once a year.
What are you waiting for? Just bloody well buy it.referencing Back To Basics: Cut The Crap (CD, Mixed, CD, Mixed, CD, Mixed, Box Set, , Round Tin Metal Case) B2B CD1
Back 2 Basics paid artist Jamie Reid £500 to use the Queen's head image.
