Per the images of the CD labels: the 1st shows CK46233 and the 2nd shows CK46234. This disagrees with what's in the Barcode and Other Identifiers section. My own set has these numbers as shown in the images.

Robert Johnson may be a mysterious figure of the blues but his music is some of the most soulful, authentic and blues-drenched music I’ve ever heard. To think that this one man with a single guitar and a voice equal to none other was so influential on the world of rock n roll is insane. Absolutely insane. I’m looking at Robert Johnson on the front of this box set, sitting cross legged and holding his guitar with a big grin on his face. Was he happy to get the recognition? Was he thinking about getting paid? Was he chuffed that he was able to dress up in a very fine suit and hat to match? Or was that suit borrowed to him for the photo shoot? And were there other photos taken that day which lie somewhere in someone’s ancestors collection? Ahhh, the mystery’s are endless with this legend.

Ok, enough waffling.

The box set is BOSS. The complete recordings of Robert Johnson all in one handy dandy box. The tall booklet included is detailed with photographs of Johnson’s contemporaries and in-depth information and context about the blues.

All the songs have been transcribed which is a huge bonus. And something else I like is that the listings of the recording sessions that took place within the timeframe of Johnson’s session are included. This gives a feeling for the musical climate existing in Texas at the time.

Nuff said. This box set is well worth having.

Absolutely awesome! All the tunes are nothing less than brilliant, most lyrics are great. All songs are blues classics. Keith RICHARDS thought there were two guys on guitar...

Is this the best remastering of his music, I love his stuff but everything I have has bad sound quality overall? I realize everything is taken from his original recordings which were done in the mid 30's, I guess I thought newer technology could do more than it actually can. I'm looking for the best quality I can get.
