- AKA: The John Cale Country Record. He had probably been listening to The Band. Nevertheless, this is a great record that touches on the aforementioned, as well as 60s Pop. There's a fantastic dreamy feel to everything, thanks to the cranked-up reverb. And, I'd listen to Cale sing anything - the alphabet or the phonebook (what's that?) even. The man never repeats himself.
- Anyone know where this is pressed? I saw the 2021 release from VMP was done at GZ Media, nearly every pressing I've had from them has been subpar at best, unlistenable at worst.
- Deadwax matrix/runout on my copy (which is the 2014 Columbia repress) is actually:
Side A: 88883772921-A
Side B: 88883772921-B
