- Gotta say I’m pretty confused by all the different takes on these pre 2010/non-Capitol pressings. My gf bought this for me years ago and I thought it was a Capitol copy, but the matrix ID and labels indicate Parlophone. The first # is “NODATA 0X2A-1-1- [and then a looong space before…] D”
Then the next layer down is hand-etched “8552291 1A1” and then “I like you, you’re a wonderful person” followed by “vinyl blair”.
My understanding is, these are UK represses, not US. And folks are saying this rivals the In Rainbows 45s. Tbh, I don’t hear that. These sound good/solid, but not deep, immersive sound like In Rainbows. Is that because this is not the best pressing? Or is it people’s subjective tastes? - This is one the most amazing records in my collection - I am not a vinyl forever kind of guy - but this makes me question that POV. Remarkable packaging, outstanding sonics. I have the Kid A pressing too - It's excellent too - but for my money this is a vastly superior musical statement - and it sounds great! Even pressed by capitol!
- I think I have this pressing except it is missing the phrases in the Matrix. Everything else matches up with the Capitol vs Parlophone and the UPC on the back top and logo back bottom.
- I happened to receive the Parlophone records inside the Capitol sleeves... However, I was not blown away by this pressing. My Capitol Records Kid A pressing was far superior... Also does anyone know if this OK Computer with the Parlophone records inside is 180gram?
