- The current prices are shocking. I originally bought this on markdown for $11.99 when it was released. I was wondering why someone out of the blue DM’d me asking if I wanted to sell it so I started digging into it. U hi I think part of the reason it’s so expensive is it’s a 200g pressed on Quiex. Not sure what that process means but it sure makes the record sound amazing.
- I would highly suggest anyone that wants to see a reissue, to submit a request with Music on Vinyl.

I noticed on their website they are releasing a 2000s era compilation album which includes the Dido single, 'White Flag'.

Hopefully at some point they do the album too. - Spinning this at the moment! My god this vinyl is a MASTERPIECE and the music is really aging very well. That BASS, that DYNAMIC, this is amazing. This needs a repress asap with the same sound quality because prices are insane.
Kudos to Classic Records for the amazing job they've done with this pressing ! Maybe the rarest record i own in my collection. A GEM! - Edited 5 years agoYou know those albums, the ones that aren't great, but they're pretty good, but the only reason they cost so much is because they are more rare than demanded, so they just float there unsold for a very long time... in a sort of limbo... then every once in a while... someone buys one out of exasperation, which only keeps the madness going... while the sane keep waiting for a reissue.
I can think of a few examples... Evanescence's Fallen, Mariah Carey's Butterfly, Dido's Life for Rent. All decent albums deserving a reissue, very rare one time pressed originals going for $150+. Mariah's Butterfly was reissued recently as a picture disc, Ev's put out a box set, and reissued individual releases, and Dido? Just sits there at $300-$400 dollars... Tom Petty's Wildflowers, a lot of these, if not most were made in the dead zone while vinyl was on its way out, replaced by convenience... around 1992, 1992-1995 you see very few US pressings, and by 1997 you see a lot of these are a one-time pressing in Germany or Holland, etc...
I bought Dido's Life for Rent on CD when it came out, it's one of the only CDs I bought back then... it's a good album, but a bit apathetic... some of that's the style. It's a great album.
I'd love to see this album reissued.
