Reviews
- I agree about the excellent sound quality. Very warm and one can hear the bass very well, never overpowering though. Great pressing!
- Edited 6 months agoExcellent sounding reissue and nice high quality tip-on jacket. Mastering leans slightly on the warmer side when directly compared to the Analogue Productions reissue, but does not lack any bass. Bill's piano pops a little more and is generally a little brighter and more forward on and Analogue Productions. Regarding the comment below, there is no channel imbalance on mine, which is the George Horn (edit: or Gary Hobish) mastering variant. The mono image is precisely centered. Perhaps an equipment or setup issue with the commenter?
- Edited 6 years agoI'm no jazz critic, but I do dig me some Bill Evans and enjoying collecting his catalog. This one is tight per usual but dare I say "rocking". The pressing is solid per usual and has a good soundstage though a little heavy on the right channel, which was just my observation from the one listening. Another classic, but you already knew that...
