Reviews
- Bought this pressing after reading previous comments. And they were not lying, this is an amazing sounding pressing. Unfortunately my copy got scratched in transit by that darn zipper. Other than that scratch, this copy is in amazing condition! After cleaning on my RCM there is virtually no noise at all, even between tracks. Side 1 is perfect, and side 2 is perfect up until Dead Flowers where the scratch starts and causes a skip. Scratch continues into Moonlight Mile for 90 seconds or so, then ticking stops. If not for that scratch I would keep this forever, but I think I'm going to sell it.
- Edited 2 years agoNo TML in the dead wax here, but it sounds as good as my TML German pressing, maybe even better, a little more open. German pressings rule and this compliment comes from an Austrian :-)
- Edited 2 years agoOh My lord have MERCY!! Just got my nm/nm A1/B1 copy and “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking” just completely blew me away. The bass, the vocal, the guitars - HOLY F****K!!! Literally JUMPS out of the speakers like few songs do. I’ve heard the song a thousand times but this version is on another level - maybe the best Rolling Stones song I’ve ever heard on vinyl, maybe one of the best song I’ve EVER heard put to vinyl. What a hot mix. Every song just as good, kudos to whoever cut the lacquers. Seek this pressing out at all cost.
- Nothing like an early German edition of Sticky Fingers. You will hear this album as never before, especially Mick Taylor's playing on "Sway" and "Can't You Hear Me Knocking". This is what today's audiophile reissues aspire to be. Just have to be careful when storing with the zipper protruding out of the cover!
